Please can anyone help me? I am looking for Fife Place which is supposed to be near the join of George Street and Renfield Place but I can’t find it on any old or new maps. This is from a Will dated 1859 and my lady ancestor owned property there.

    Hi Paula
in the book A guide to Glasgow addresses PartII by Susan Miller ISBN 1 870186 23 0, on p49 you will see that Fife Place was part of West George Street 90-114 and 91-129

Hi can anybody help….. I am trying to find out where Tradeston is in Glasgow, I had family (Ann Robertson) who married a German fisherman Friedrich Grugel 15 Nov 1859 in Tradeston Glasgow. I am assuming that Glasgow took over most of the smaller parishes over the years but hopefully the churches have survived. I think its in a place called Tanneston ?
